Week 4 of 12- A historical lesson on the societal hierarchy of Ancient Egypt, from slaves to pharaohs! This product contains an 18-slide Teaching PowerPoint and 2 main tasks that can be printed or completed digitally via PDF copies. The PPT guides students through learning the key roles of ancient Egyptian society: Pharaoh, vizier, nobles, scribes, priests, soldiers, craftsmen, farmers and slaves. The first task sees children labelling these roles on a societal pyramid, then matching up job roles to their titles using the worksheet included in this pack. Task 2 sees children research the role of the pharaoh in more depth. These activities can be conducted individually or in small groups both physically or digitally. The focus is on recalling key facts and independent research using the internet. Hi there! This is one of my biggest bundles for you guys. In here, there are 8 meticulously planned lessons, with extension work and opportunities to extend the learning over multiple literacy slots. There are 12 separate work sheets, including sorting activities, flash cards for drama, using the example of how chocolate is made. All learning objectives and success criteria are outlined for each individual lesson, and all links for extra resources to be found are on the series plan. Honestly, this has the potential to save you a LOT of work! It can be used for any year in primary, as there are alternative difficulty options, and vocabulary choices that can be altered to make it harder/easier. Week 6 of 6- A no-prep lesson that explores mixed media collage, combining all skills taught in this unit to create a final piece. Additionally, children in grades 1-3 will learn how to evaluate their efforts and complete learning journals. This product contains a 11-slide Teaching PowerPoint that guides students through previous weeks’ learning (with linked, bespoke vocabulary-matching game hosted on WordWall©) and develops their understanding of how to create a mixed media collage. Once completed, children have two worksheets to complete- one focuses on encouraging children to journal about their experiences, including what they enjoyed and what they didn’t. The second sees children evaluate what they’ve learnt and their own outcomes. This activity can be conducted as a class, or in smaller wellbeing groups to work on mindfulness or calming SEN children during the chaos of the school day. This lesson is likely to take 2 hours, and requires the use of worksheets (included), fine-liner pens, sketching pencils and the work produced in previous lessons.
